UNC's Purchase of Westgate

While we have a long-term lease, our future at this location remains uncertain due to the possible hospital development. At this time, no decisions have been made regarding our tenancy beyond the term of the existing lease. 

As responsible stewards of our mission, we are proactively and strategically planning for every possible outcome to ensure the long term future and legacy of The Village Potters Clay Center.

What we know with certainty is this: we are strong. We are supported by an extraordinary community here in Western North Carolina and by sponsors, friends, artists, and supporters across the nation. Whatever challenges may lie ahead, we will face them together with resilience, creativity, and determination. Just as our community came together to overcome the devastating flood, we are confident that we will rise to meet whatever comes next and continue serving generations of ceramic artists and our beloved community for years to come.
